Arnold Police: Two Children Caught Taking Vodka Bottles

The Arnold Police Department provided the following information. None of it indicates a conviction or guilty plea.

Monday, July 9

Stolen License Plates—At 8:30 a.m. on Kathryn Drive, an officer found a pair of St. Louis County license plates, that had been reported stolen, on another vehicle. Police listed the suspect as wanted in the law enforcement database and later arrested, booked and on a court summons.

Trespassing— employees, at 1695 Missouri State Rd, told police that someone had jumped the fence at the outdoor pool after hours and threw lawn furniture into the pool.

Probation and Parole—Police found an Arnold man, 47, on Telegraph Road, who was wanted for parole violation. Police arrested, booked and held the man until transport to  another law enforcement department .

Burglary—A Rosedale Drive man reported, at about 9 p.m., $1,000 worth of jewelry and money missing from his home. Police found no sign of forced entry and the windows were locked.

Fireworks Violation—Arnold police arrested two 15-year-olds for a fireworks violation, while responding to a call at 10:30 p.m. on Constellation Drive. They were released to their parents. Arnold ordinance only allows fireworks to be used from June 25 to July 5.

Tuesday, July 10

Property Damage—A Sunset Drive woman reported that someone had super glued the windows and placed peanut butter on her 2003 Ford Escape while it was parked in her driveway overnight.

Theft, Vehicle Damage—A woman reported damage to her car’s passenger window while it was parked overnight on Tribute Drive. She also reported her purse, with contents valued at $125 missing from her car

Debit Card Missing—A woman reported her debit card missing from her purse while it was in the training room between 9:20-11:15 a.m. at 1900 Meyer Drury Ln., the address of Convergys Corporation.

Theft—A Bender Lane man reported a bag filled with about $150 in roofing tools missing from his driveway. The man said the tools disappeared between 11 p.m. Monday and 3 a.m. Tuesday.

Alcohol Theft—A employee, at 1253 Water Tower Place, said that two children, ages 12 and 13, were caught stealing two bottles of UV Cherry Vodka at about 9:30 p.m., valued at $24.84. Police processed and released the children to their parents.

Outstanding Warrants—A St. Louis man, 26, surrendered to Arnold police on 14 outstanding municipal court warrants. He was held pending a $1,594 bond.

Fugitive—Officers investigating a disturbance at 2824 Rosewood Dr., took an Arnold man, 17, into custody for outstanding warrants in Jefferson and St. Louis counties. Arnold police processed and held him until one of the agencies could transfer him to their jails.

Wednesday, July 11

Harassment—An officer investigated a harassment complaint at 2102 Jeffco Blvd., at 2:48 p.m. and fond an Imperial man, 24, at the gas station. While checking the man’s record, Arnold police learned  the man is was wanted by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and the St. Louis City Police Department. Arnold police book, charged and  released the man on bond.

Assault and property damage—Police investigated a phone call about a disturbance on Missouri Meadows Court, and found an Arnold woman, 19, who said that a 19-year-old Arnold man and a 17-year-old Arnold woman allegedly hit her car with sticks while she was in the driveway at her home. Police issued court summonses to the teenagers.

Flag Stolen—An Aquarius Drive man reported his $150 American Flag missing from the outside of his home. The man said the flag was taken prior to11 a.m.

Theft, Minor in Possession— store security, at 2201 Michigan Ave., stopped an Arnold man at 6:10 p.m., accused of stealing two bottles of liquor, with a value of $25.94. Arnold police released the man on a court summons.

Stealing— Walmart store security stopped two 15-year-old girls who face charges of stealing $61 in makeup and personal items. Police released both girls to their parents.
