Arnold Woman Lies to Police About Being Held at Gunpoint

When police arrived, the 17 year old said the woman who held her at gunpoint fled out of the back door of the home. The woman was later arrested for filing a false report.

A 17-year-old Arnold woman on Crosswinds Drive was arrested for filing a false report in which she claimed she was being held at gunpoint by another woman in her home.

Arnold police received a call about the incident Nov. 2. When officers arrived on scene, the reported victim told police her assailant fled out the back door.

Upon further investigation, police discovered the woman had lied to a friend about being held at gunpoint, and the friend called the police. The woman continued to lie to the officers who arrived on the call.Β

She was taken into custody and later released on summons.
