Arnold Women Use Weapons During an Argument

License plates and renewal tabs have been stolen from a few Arnold residents in the last few weeks.

The Arnold Police Department provided the following information. None of it indicates a conviction or guilty plea.

Jan. 15

Vehicle Window Damaged—A victim reported about $150 in damage to the driver’s side window of his vehicle while it was parked on Fox Ridge Court overnight.

Purse Stolen at Church—A woman attending a service, at 2012 Missouri State Road, reported her wallet missing from her purse at about 11:40 a.m. The wallet held $400 and three credit cards.

Marijuana Possession—Arnold police patrolling the Commuter Lot, located near the intersection of Richardson Road and Vogel Road, saw a suspicious vehicle parked at about 8:15 a.m. After talking with the driver, the officer learned the 18-year-old Barnhart man was in possession of about 2 grams of marijuana. The man was released on a court summons.

Disturbing the Peace at a Movie Theatre—Arnold police charged a Barnhart man, 19, with disturbing the peace at the , at 1912 Richardson Road, at 6 p.m. Police booked the man and later released him on a court summons.

Pointing a Gun During an Argument—At about 1 a.m., a 48-year-old Arnold woman called police and said another Arnold woman, who was also 48 years old, assaulted and pointed a gun at her head during an argument on Park Drive. The second woman said the first woman held a kitchen knife during the argument. Police found and seized a pellet pistol. Officers also arrested both women, charged them with armed assault and released them on pending arrest warrants.

Jan. 13 

Machine Vandalized, Coins Stolen—A store manager at 3900 Vogel Road, the address for Richardson Crossing Shopping Plaza with a grocery store, said a man broke a vending machine at the store’s entrance at about 9:30 a.m. and stole about $100 in coins. Police said the man, later identified as a 45-year-old Imperial man, drove away in a 1992 white Honda Accord with a Missouri license plates.

Marijuana Possession—Arnold police charged an Arnold woman, 27, with marijuana possession after she opened the door to her Richardson Place Drive residence and smelled the drug’s odor at about noon. Police seized a plastic bag holding about 11 grams of marijuana.

GPS Unit Stolen from Unlocked Vehicle—A victim reported his $120 GPS unit missing from his unlocked vehicle parked at the parking lot at 2201 Michigan Ave., at about 5:30 p.m.

License Plate Tabs Stolen—A Sunset Drive victim called Arnold police to report her vehicle’s $30 license plate tabs missing at about 5:30 p.m.

Jan. 12 

Provoking Drivers at a Wreck — An Arnold man, 21, received a court summons after police asked him to stop provoking drivers and leave the area of vehicle wreck near the intersection of Old Lemay Ferry Road and Maxville Lane at about 7:45 a.m. When the man refused and police charged him with refusing to follow a police order.

Stealing Gasoline — A gas station employee, at 2046 Key West Dr., said a maroon 1996 Buick car with Missouri license plates pumped $35 in fuel and drove away with paying at about 11 a.m. Police learned the car’s license plates were in the crime database for a similar crime. 

Stolen License Plates — A Fox Ridge Court victim reported her car’s license plates missing.

Driving While Influenced — While investigating a wreck along Starling Airport Road at 9:20 p.m., Arnold police charged a Ferguson man, 29, with driving while influenced. The Rock Community Ambulance District took the man to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in South St. Louis County due to his injuries from the wreck.

Jan. 11

Marijuana Possession — Arnold police, after a traffic stop near the intersection of Jeffco Boulevard and Pleasant Valley Terrace at about 10:15 p.m., charged an 19-year-old Imperial woman with marijuana possession. Police released the woman on a court summons.

Stealing a Sandwich, Liquor—A gas station employee, at 3611 West Outer Rd., reviewed security video and said two men stole two bottles of Jack Daniels whiskey and one sandwich at about 9:20 p.m.

Jan. 10

Car Wreck after Fleeing a Traffic Stop — Arnold police tried to stop the driver of a black BMW car, with a Missouri license plate, near the intersection of Telegraph Road and Tenbrook Road at 8:30 a.m. The driver, later identified as a 30-year-old De Soto man, fled by driving south on Telegraph Road. A few minutes later, the car was in a wreck in unincorporated Jefferson County.

Bike Stolen from Library — A victim at Jefferson County Public Library’s Arnold Branch, at 1701 Missouri State Rd., reported his $75 orange BMX bike missing. The bike was not locked and was taken between 4-6 p.m.

Jan. 9

Air Conditioner Stolen from Foreclosed Home — A Kathryn Drive neighbor reported an air conditioner was stolen from a foreclosed home owned by the Bank of America. The estimated loss is about $1,000.

Shoplifting — Arnold police arrested a Crystal City woman, 32, at Walmart at 2201 Michigan Ave., at about 8:30 p.m., and charged her with stealing less than $500 in merchandise. Police released her at the scene a court summons.

Church Burglarized — A employee, at 3511 Jeffco Blvd., said the church’s alarm sounded then a window broke at about 1:45 a.m.
