Convergys Employee Says Hate Crimes are Happening at Work

DeAndre Martin says he experienced racism after a picture of a man hanging from a tree was found on his desk, and the n-word spray-painted on his car.

DeAndre Martin is fed up with his hostile work environment.

Martin told Fox 2 News he showed up to work at Convergys in Arnold on July 11 and found a racist drawing on his desk. Martin said it was a picture of a person hanging from a tree.

A few days later it worsened. On Monday night he clocked out and discovered a second racist message spray painted all over his car.

“You see the N-word and then a big picture a noose that`s a big deal a big deal to me," he told Fox 2 News. "The first time never should’ve happened and the second time was over the top."

Martin said he spent about $300 cleaning up his car and said he is disappointment with management's reaction.
