Crime Report for May 2-8

The Arnold Police Department provided the following information.

May 8

Shoplifting — store security, at 2150 Michigan Ave., detained a St. Louis woman, 30, for allegedly shoplifting $337 of merchandise. Police released the woman at the scene on a court summons.

DWI — Police investigating a vehicle parked on West Outer Drive and Melody Lane at 10 p.m., charged an Arkansas man, 36, with driving while intoxicated. Officers booked the suspect, who had a blood alcohol level of .17, then released him on a $350 bond.

Robbery — A victim reported missing two subwoofers and the head unit for his car stereo, total value at $500, from his unlocked car while it was parked on Chaucer Lane.

Assault — Police responded to a disturbance in the  parking lot, at 3900 Vogel Road, and learned an Imperial woman, 21, allegedly punched her boyfriend and knocked out one of his teeth. Police said the woman was partying with friends, awoke in the back seat of a car and searched for her boyfriend. She found him talking to someone then punched him. Police booked and released the woman, who had a hand injury.

Drug possession — Police responded to a call, in the 2300 block of Ridgecrest Drive, about a ill juvenile. They found a 16-year-old boy in possession of drug paraphernalia. The Deputy Juvenile Officer released the juvenile a parent.

DWI — Police charged a Fenton man, 38, with driving while intoxicated at a checkpoint near Route 141 and Astra Way Drive. The suspect refused a breath test, was booked at the scene and released to a sober driver. 

DWI, Resisting Police — An Arnold man, 28, faces multiple charges after he sped through a checkpoint near Route 141 and Astra Way Drive. Police found the suspect’s vehicle at Robinhood Drive and Friar Tuck with two male passengers inside. The suspect faces charges of resisting arrest, driving on a revoked license, and failure to obey a police officer.

Leash Law Violation — An Arnold woman, 26, in the 2300 block of Virginia Court faces a leash law violation after she allegedly allowed her dog to run through the neighborhood.

May 5

Illegal Burning — The Rock Community Fire Department issued a $10,000 fine and a court summons for environmental pollution to an Arnold man, 54, who burned old railroad ties in an open and unattended fire in the Rockwood area. Investigators learned it was the third time the suspect was at a fire in the area. The suspect took responsibility for the fire, the report said.

Attempted Shoplifting — Kohl’s store security detained two 18-year old Festus residents for attempted shoplifting. Police detained the suspects at the scene on a court summons.

DWI — Police charged an Arnold man, 53, with driving while intoxicated after stopping him for a traffic violation near the intersection of Key West Drive and Key Largo Court. The suspect took a breath test and had a blood alcohol level of .191, the police report said. Police booked the man and released him to a sober driver.

May 4

Assault — An Arnold man, 21, of Pleasant Valley Terrace faces charges of assaulting his girlfriend. After booking the suspect, police released him on a court summons.

May 3

Stolen Wheels and Tires — the store manager, at 3790 Jeffco Blvd., reported missing wheels and tires from a 2003 Dodge Neon while it was parked on the lot.

Drug Possession —  Arnold police officers working at , an extended stay hotel at 888 Arnold Commons, charged two people on drug related offenses and detained a third on a Jefferson County Sheriff’s warrant. A 30-year-old Festus female faces a charge of drug paraphernalia possession. Police charged a 38-year old Festus male with possession of a controlled substance. Police held a Festus woman, 33, on the Jefferson County Sheriff’s warrant.

May 2

Stealing, Car Damage — a commuter reported damage to his vehicle, and missing electronics, while it was parked at the commuter lot near the intersection of Richardson Road and Vogel Road.
