Crime Report: Numerous Drug Charges in Arnold

Several juveniles detained on charges of shoplifting, curfew violation or alcohol possession during the week of Sept. 19-25.

The Arnold Police Department provided the following information. None of it indicates a conviction or guilty plea.

Sept. 25 

  • Stealing Clothes — security, at 2150 Michigan Ave., detained a Festus woman, 27, and a St. Clair woman, 22, for stealing $65 in clothing. Police released both subjects at the scene on court summonses.

  • Stealing Alcohol — store security, at 1253 Water Tower Place, detained an Arnold man, 18 for stealing $24 in alcohol. The suspect was booked and held on warrants from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and St. Louis County law enforcement, Arnold police said.

  • Shoplifting — Kohl’s store security detained two Barnhart residents, a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old girl, who tried to leave the store without paying for $72 in merchandise. Police issued summonses to both suspects and released them at the scene.

  • Stolen GPS — A Willow Drive victim reported a $300 GPS system missing from her vehicle.

  • Marijuana Possession — During a traffic stop in the 500 block of Jeffco Boulevard, police found the 21-year-old Arnold driver in possession of marijuana. Police released the suspect from the scene on a court summons.

Sept. 23

  • Forgery — A victim reported that someone cashed a $320 forged check at Arnold Commons. The victim reported the stolen check the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

  • Theft, Property Damage — An Archer Drive victim reported a $200 stereo missing from his unlocked car. The victim also reported a damaged dashboard.

  • Stolen Credit Card — A victim reported a Valvoline credit card missing from his unlocked work van while it was parked at Pomme Meadows at about 2:30 p.m.

  • Heroin Possession — Police investigating a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of Ridgecrest Drive and Jeffco Boulevard found the passenger, a 21-year-old Arnold man, in possession of heroin. The suspect was booked then released on a pending arrest warrant.

  • Driving while Intoxicated — An Imperial man, 26, faces driving while intoxicated charges after a traffic stop near the intersection of West Outer Drive and Vogel Road at 1:30 a.m. The suspect refused a breath test at the Arnold police department and was released to a sober driver.

  • Stealing, Fraud —Kohl’s store security identified a Pevely man, 23, who returned stolen merchandise in exchange for a $115.88 gift card.

  • Minor in Possession of Alcohol — During a car wreck investigation at 11:36 p.m., police charged one of the drivers, an 18 year old Fenton man with minor in possession of alcohol. Several people in the suspect's vehicle fled the scene prior to the officers’ arrival, the police report said.

 Sept. 21

  • Stealing from an Unlocked Vehicle — A Sunnyridge Drive victim reported a GPS unit, pocket-knife and a wallet—with three credit cards and one debit card— missing from his unlocked vehicle.

  • Stealing, Property Damage — An Arnold Tenbrook Court victim reported a shattered passenger side window on his vehicle. The victim also reported a Coach purse and a pair of sunglasses missing from the vehicle.

  • Burglary — Arnold police stopped and arrested an Imperial man, 34, after learning the suspect broke into an Abrams Court residence. Police recovered folding chairs, video games and tools.

  • Shoplifting — store security, at 2201 Michigan Ave., detained a 16-year-old boy for shoplifting. Police released the juvenile to a parent.

  • Stolen Motorcycle — A victim met a buyer for his 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle at the , at 1543 Jeffco Blvd for a test drive. The buyer never returned. The suspect abandoned a 2000 Ford Explorer that police said was stolen from St. Peters, MO.

Sept. 20

  • Stealing $500+ — A victim, in the 1800 block of Old Lemay Ferry Road, reported about $4,400 in tools missing from a locked trailer at a subdivision construction site.

  • Shoplifting —Kohl’s store security detained an Arnold woman, 18, after she attempted to leave the store without paying for $92 in merchandise. Police arrested the suspect, booked her at the Arnold police station and released her on a court summons.

  • Curfew Violation — Police responded to a call of two people looking into vehicles parked along Summit Drive at 3:30 a.m. Police found two juveniles, 17 and 16, in the area. Police took the juveniles into custody for curfew violations then released each to a parent.

Sept. 19

  • Stealing, Drug Paraphernalia Possession — Arnold Police Officers responded to a call about a shoplifter at Kohl’s Department Store. Police stopped the suspect’s vehicle in the Arnold Commons parking lot  and found the missing property. Police also found drug paraphernalia in the car. Police arrested five suspects
  • a St. Louis man, 30
  • a St. Louis man, 32
  • an O’Fallon man, 34
  • a St. Louis woman, 26
  • a Fenton woman, 29

 

Police held three suspects on St. Louis County warrants.

  • Drug Possession — During a traffic stop on Airglades Drive, police arrested an Arnold woman, 19 and an Arnold man, 21 after finding heroine, cash and a loaded pistol in the car.
