DWI Checkpoint in Arnold Results in Three Arrests
The arrests were made last weekend as part of state-sponsored DWI checkpoint.
Arnold police officers arrested three people on suspicion of driving while intoxicated during a safety checkpoint last weekend.
The officers were stationed on Vogel Road on Saturday night.
Arnold police hold multiple safety checkpoints each year. They're funded by grants through the state, said Maj. Nick McBroom of the .

Two of the arrests happened at the checkpoint. A third occurred after a driver turned around to avoid the police, McBroom said.
According to incident reports, the following arrests were made:

- A 40-year-old St. Louis man
- A 39-year-old Imperial man
- A 35-year-old Arnold man
All three men refused to take breath tests, according to incident reports.
Arnold officers were last stationed at a , when they arrested six people on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
