Gas Station Robbery Leads to Arrest in Arnold

A 46-year-old Arnold man was arrested following a robbery at a gas station on Jeffco Boulevard.

The incident reportedly happened on Aug. 21, when the man entered at 504 Jeffco Blvd. and demanded money from the clerk, said Det. Lt. Robert Ruckman of the .

The clerk was involved in a transaction at the time of the incident. The man went over the counter and grabbed money from the register before fleeing the scene, Ruckman said. He didn't have a weapon, Ruckman said.

Police made an arrest around noon later that day on Starling Community Trailer Court, according to an incident report.

Police aren't releasing the suspect's name until formal charges are filed by the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney's office.
