Graffiti Found on Arnold Florist Building

The Arnold Police Department provided the following information. None of it indicates a conviction or guilty plea.

June 6

Stealing— security, at 2201 Michigan Ave., reported seeing a suspect involved in a prior theft from the store enter the store on June 1 and leave without paying for $55 in merchandise.

Runaway Juvenile Found—Police found a 14-year-old who had been reported as a runaway at 8 p.m. in . The teen was turned over to the Department of Family Services.

Drug and Drug Paraphernalia Possession—An officer stopped a Hillsboro man, 44, walking near the intersection of Hwy. 141 and Astra Way at 1:10 a.m., and found him carrying synthetic marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police charged the man and released him on a court summons when he became sober.

Driving While Intoxicated—Arnold police stopped a St. Louis man, 22, near the intersection of Hwy. 141 and Astra Way at 1:16 a.m. Police said the man had .129 percent blood alcohol level. Police charged the man and later released him on a court summons to a sober driver.

June 7

Graffiti—The owner of , at 1705 Jeffco Boulevard, reported seeing, at around 9:30 a.m., the word “LEIF” spray-painted on the back of the store building. Arnold police officers said they received a tip and arrested an Arnold man, 18, who confessed to many other “taggings” around town. Police released the man on eight court summonses.

Stealing— employees, at 3849 Vogel Rd., reported that a Burforsville man, 26, took merchandise from the store at about 2:30 p.m. Police released the man on a court summons.

Stealing Fuel—A clerk at , 3611 West Outer Road, reported at about 8 p.m. that a man pumped about $25 in gasoline into a Chevy Lumina and left without paying. There is a videotape of the car. 

Driving While Influenced—During a traffic stop at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Jeffco Boulevard at about 11:30 p.m, Arnold police learned the Imperial man, 21, driving had a blood alcohol content of .129 percent. Police charged the man and released him to a sober driver.
