Heroin Snitch, Girlfriend Shows BB Gun in Argument Among Last Week's Crimes in Arnold

Lots of juveniles suspected in separate thefts throughout Arnold.

The Arnold Police Department provided the following information. None of it indicates a conviction or guilty plea.

Oct. 23

Stalker, Assault — A victim reported that her estranged girlfriend assaulted her at the , at 1695 Missouri State Road. Arnold police were unable to contact the suspect, a 52 year old Arnold woman, and said a restraining order prevents the suspect from contacting the victim.

Stealing Shoes — Arnold police charged an Imperial woman, 18, with stealing after she wore a pair of shoes at , at 1215 Water Tower Ave., left the store without paying, and fled in a vehicle. Police found the vehicle, arrested the suspect and released her on a court summons.

Assault, Marijuana Possession— Arnold police saw a Sikeston man, 50, assault his ex-wife at 7:30 p.m. on Jeffco Boulevard. After arresting the suspect, police searched his vehicle and found 42 grams of marijuana. Police released the man on a warrant application.

Oct. 22

Electronics Stolen – An Arnold Recreation Center employee placed his car keys, iPod Touch and laptop in a bag and hung it in the custodian’s closet, the police said. The victim returned to find the bag and all the items missing. Police and building security reviewed video and identified a possible juvenile suspect. Officers traveled to the juvenile’s Crosswinds Drive residence, found the iPod but were unable to find the victim’s other missing items.

Stealing — security, at 2150 Michigan Ave., detained a St. Louis woman, 47, after she attempted to steal a $45 sweatshirt. Police released her on a court summons.

Oct. 21

Fraud — A Richardson Road resident said her sister fraudulently used her food stamp debit card at , at 3610 Richardson Square Way, after the card was mistakenly mailed to her sister’s home on Tenbrook Road.

Credit Card Fraud — Arnold police officers went to Allegiance Bank, at 1200 Big Bill Rd., to investigate the possible use of a stolen credit card. During the investigation, officers learned an Atlanta, GA man, 21, had used a stolen credit card at the bank. Police found that a 22 year old Atlanta, GA woman, with the suspect, possessed marijuana. Officers interviewed the suspects and learned they traveled to Missouri from Georgia with 20-30 gift cards to buy a large volume of cigarettes that would be resold in Georgia. Police arrested both suspects, booked and held them for further investigation.

Oct. 20

Property Damage — A Dohack Drive resident reported that someone broke the rear window of his vehicle and caused about $200 in damage.

Stealing — Kohl’s store security detained a Festus woman, 20, for stealing $252 in clothing. Police arrested, booked and released the suspect on a summons.

Home Burlgary — A Stardust Road resident said someone, during the workday, removed a rear window screen, entered his residence and stole a $200 wedding ring and $10 in cash.

Oct. 19

Stealing — Kohls store security detained a St. Louis man, 38, for stealing $240 in merchandise. Police released the suspect on a summons.

Burglary — A Crosswinds Drive resident reported a 73-inch Mitsuhishi tv missing from his basement. The victim said the tv was stolen between Oct. 13-19.

$1,000 Control Boards Stolen — A employee, at 2012 Missouri State Rd., reported that two control boards, valued at $1,000 in total, were stolen from building. 

Stealing Beauty Supplies — store security, at 2201 Michigan Ave., detained an Imperial woman, 22, for stealing about $67 in cosmetics. Police learned the suspect had been arrested for prior thefts and was wanted in St. Louis County for traffic violations. Arnold police booked and held the suspect in lieu of a bond.

Wheelchair, Walker Stolen — A victim, parked at a car repair shop at 2120 Michigan Ave., reported missing her wheelchair, walker, and about $300 in personal items from her vehicle.

Weapons Possession — Arnold police conducted a traffic stop in the 3900 block of Jeffco Boulevard in response to calls about a suspicious vehicle. Police said the driver, a 53 year old Arnold man, had a switch blade knife, metal knuckles and two blackjack clubs in his vehicle. Police released the man on a court summons.

Oct. 18

Property Damage — A Rosedale Drive resident reported and identified an Arnold boy, 17, who repeatedly caused property damage by driving through her yard. Arnold police arrested and booked the suspect and released him on a summons.

Showing a gun during an argument — Arnold police arrived at 2005 Richardson Road after receiving a call about a woman armed with a handgun. Police found the Arnold woman, 19, holding a BB gun that resembled a real handgun. Officers arrested and booked her on charges of showing a gun during an argument with her friend, a 21 year old Arnold man. They also arrested the man on a St. Louis County warrant. Police released the woman on a summons and the man to St. Louis county law enforcement. 

Heroin, Drug Paraphernalia Possession — Arnold police, during a traffic stop at southbound Interstate 55 and Hwy. 141, found an Imperial man, 24, in possession of heroin and several drug paraphernalia items. During an interview, the suspect said the items belonged to a friend arrested in Crystal City earlier in the day. The suspect showed text messages from his friend, a 20 year old Imperial man, as proof, police said. The younger suspect was transported to Arnold on warrants and, during an interview, said he owned the items found during the traffic stop. Both suspects were released on pending arrest warrants.

Assisting an Investigation — Festus police officers called the Arnold Police Department to request a K-9 police officer to search a vehicle found on southbound I-55 and Hwy. A. During the search, police found 96 grams of marijuana in the vehicle’s trunk. Festus police will charge the suspect and investigate further.

Curfew Violation, Stealing $500 — a Telegraph Road resident said a friend—a 14 year old juvenile—visited him. After the visit, the victim reported his wallet containing $510 was missing. Officers went to the juvenile’s home, talked to his parents and found the wallet and the money in the juvenile's bedroom. Police arrested the juvenile and transported him to the Jefferson County Juvenile Detention Center.

Oct. 17

Car Vandalism — A victim reported that her vehicle’s steering column was damaged while it was parked at 909 Arnold Commons. The police reported no sign of forced entry into the locked vehicle.

Stolen Shopping Cart — store security, at 2201 Michigan Ave., said a customer stole a cart after exchanging a large screen tv. Arnold police arrested the Imperial man, 42, and issued a summons.

Identity Theft — a Tenbrook Road resident said someone used her Social Security number to open a cell phone account and charged more than $2,250. 

Stealing — Walmart store security detained an employee who concealed about $507 in merchandise and left the store without paying for the merchandise. Arnold police arrested the employee, a Park Hills, MO man, 26, booked and released him on a pending arrest warrant.
