Illegal Dumping, Drug Charges and Check Forgery in Arnold Crime Report

Numerous DWIs and assaults included in the Arnold Police Department's crime report for the week ending Nov. 5.

The Arnold Police Department provided the following information. None of it indicates a conviction or guilty plea.

Nov. 5

Marijuana Possession — During a traffic stop near the intersection of Tenbrook Road and Jeffco Boulevard at about 2:15 a.m., Arnold police officers discovered a De Soto man, 18, a Hillsboro boy, 17, and a Fenton girl, 17, were in possession of marijuana. Police released the suspects at the scene on court summonses.

Nov. 4

Forgery — Arnold police officers traveled to , 884 Arnold Commons Dr., and met a St. Louis County resident who said someone stole her personal check, forged her signature and bought a $700 mattress at the Arnold retailer.

Using a Stolen Credit Card — A Jeffco Boulevard resident reported, to Arnold police, that her credit card was stolen and used in Jefferson County. Arnold police arrested a suspect, an 17-year-old Arnold boy, booked him and held him for interview with Jefferson County Sheriff Department detectives. Arnold police released the suspect on a pending arrest warrant.

Driving while Intoxicated — After Arnold police stopped a Barnhart man, 23, near the intersection of Vogel Road and West Outer Road at 1:30 a.m, officers learned the suspect was intoxicated. Officers arrested and booked the suspect at the , at 2101 Jeffco Boulevard. The suspect refused a blood alcohol test. Police issued citations to the suspect and released to a sober driver.

Driving while Intoxicated, Drug Possession — While investigating a traffic wreck near the intersection of West Outer Road and Old Lemay Ferry at about 4:50 a.m., Arnold police officers learned the driver was intoxicated. The 21-year-old Arnold man and his passenger, a 21-year-old Arnold woman, were found in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. The driver had a blood alcohol level of .156 percent. Police released both suspects to a sober driver.

Nov. 3

Illegal Dumping — Arnold police travelled to , 2101 Bradley Beach Rd, after receiving a tip about someone illegally dumping tree limbs and bushes in the public park. Police found the suspect, a 43-year-old Arnold man, and issued a summons for illegal dumping to him.

$1,000 in Tools Stolen — A Starling Community resident reported $1,185 in tools missing from his unlocked shed. 

Liquor Stolen, Suspect Flees — employees, at 3611 West Outer Rd., reported a suspect left the building at about 10 p.m. without paying for three bottles of liquor. The suspect fled in a white Toyota Yaris with Missouri license plates. Police learned that the plates were stolen recently from a similar vehicle in Webster Groves. 

Assault — Arnold police found an Arnold resident after an apparent assault in the wooded area near his Telegraph Road apartment at 10 p.m. Police said the man was intoxicated and unable to describe the attacked. The victim was treated at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in South St. Louis County.

Driving while Intoxicated — Arnold police arrested an Imperial woman, 21, after a traffic violation in the 3900 block of Vogel Rd. The suspect refused to take a breath test. Police booked the suspect then released her to a sober driver.

Nov. 2

Fleeing a Traffic Violation — Arnold police officers attempted to stop a driver, a 21 year old Imperial man, near the intersection of Hwy 141 and Interstate 55. The suspect fled police. Officers later found the suspect at his Jefferson County residence, towed his vehicle, then booked and released him on several court summonses.

Failure to Return Rented Items — employees, at 1231 Water Tower, reported two Arnold residents who did not honor their rental agreements.

  • A 30-year-old Arnold woman failed to pay for or return merchandise valued at $300.
  • A 39-year-old Arnold woman failed to pay or return merchandise valued at $350.

Suspected Drug Possession — An Arnold man, 26, was transported to St. Anthony’s Medical Center from 1174 Jere Ln., after police officers suspected the man could have injected himself with heroin. Police seized a powdery substance and drug paraphernalia at the scene. Police requested a laboratory analysis of the substance and, depending on the results, will apply for arrest warrants.

Trespassing, Property Damage — An intoxicated Arnold man, 23, mistakenly forced open the door to a Lake Drive residence at about 1 a.m. and fell asleep on the couch. Police arrested and booked the suspect then released him to a sober driver.

Nov. 1

Assault — A victim near the campus, at 751 Jeffco Blvd., was punched in the head by a 15-year-old girl. Police identified the suspect and referred her to juvenile law enforcement specialists.

Shoplifting — store employees, at 30 Arnold Park Mall, called police after an Arnold woman, 52, after she left the store without paying for merchandise. Officers recovered and returned the items to the store, charged the woman with stealing less than $500 in merchandise and released her on a court summons.

Oct. 31

Illegal Dumping — Arnold police officers, responding to a caller, traveled to a boat ramp at Hollywood Beach Road and learned about an illegal dumping of trash. The tipster gave the license plate. Police found and charged a St. Louis man, 41, with the crime and released him on a court summons.
