Imperial Man Tazed After Attacking Arnold Police

Also a De Soto man sends a threatening phone text message.

The Arnold Police Department provided the following information. None of it indicates a conviction or guilty plea.

Jan. 29

Shoplifting— security at 2150 Michigan Ave., detained an Imperial woman, 18, after she attempted to leave without paying for $56 of merchandise. Police booked the woman and released her on a court summons.

Stealing $500+ from a Store—Kohl’s store security called Arnold police to report a woman fleeing from the store, in a vehicle, after she allegedly stole merchandise from the store at about 7:30 p.m. Police found and stopped the vehicle near the intersection of Jeffco Boulevard and Michigan Avenue. Police found the woman, a 31-year-old Fredericktown woman, with $512 in merchandise from Kohl’s and JC Penney. Police seized the merchandise, charged the woman and then released her on a pending arrest warrant.

Drug Paraphernalia Possession— Arnold police investigated an 11 p.m. phone call about a noise problem in the 1500 block of Avion Ridge Drive. Officers found an Arnold man, 29, with drug paraphernalia and released him on a court summons.

Jan. 28

Driving While Influenced— Arnold police, after a traffic stop in the 3700 block of Vogel Road at about 11:50 p.m., charged an Imperial man, 40, with driving while influenced. The man refused to take a breath test, police charged him and later released him to a sober driver.

Jan. 27

Operating without a Business License—Arnold police investigated a complaint about a Pomme Meadows Road resident operating a business inside a home. Police learned the suspect, a 48-year-old Arnold man, used his home to warehouse merchandise and issued a court summons to the man at about 9:20 a.m.

Air Conditioner Stolen— A Lill Lane neighbor called police, at about 12:10 p.m., to report that an air conditioner was missing from a vacant  home.

Texting a Threat, Tampering with a Witness—Arnold police said a De Soto man, 25, sent a text message to a victim that threatened to shoot the victim. Police applied for an arrest warrant from the prosecuting attorney’s office.

Fox School Offices Robbed— Arnold police noticed an unoccupied vehicle parked at the , at 751 Jeffco Blvd., at about 5 a.m. Police found an Arnold man, 20, walking on school grounds and the high school administrator’s office window shattered. Police said the man confessed to stealing cash and a digital camera. The total estimated value was $432.

Jan. 26

Fugitive, Driving While Influenced—After a traffic stop near the intersection of Jeffco Boulevard and Tenbrook Road, at 1 a.m., police charged an Imperial woman, 29, with driving while influenced. She refused to take a breath alcohol content test. Arnold police jailed the woman, due Clayton Police Department warrand, until the Clayton police arrived to take her into St. Louis County.

Jan. 25

Stolen Bank Card—A Maple Meadows Drive victim reported her purse and bank debit card missing from her unlocked vehicle.

Windshield Smashed, Wallet Stolen—A victim on Woodland Manor reported her vehicle’s passenger windshield smashed, at about 11:40 p.m., and that her wallet with $600 was missing from the glove compartment.

Assaulting an Officer, Driving While Influenced—Arnold police investigated an vehicle near the intersection of Old Lemay Ferry Road and Church Road at about 12:20 a.m. Police charged an Imperial man, 28, with driving while influenced. Police said the man threatened officers and become violent. Police used a Tazer to stop the man then jailed him.

Jan. 24

Forgery— store security reported a St. Louis man, 20, for possibly passing falsely endorsed checks to the store on Jan. 17.

Jan. 23

Drug Possession—Arnold Police charged an Arnold man, 18, with drug possession after a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Richardson Rd., at 5:30 p.m. Police released the man on a pending arrest warrant.

Jan. 22

Air Conditioner, Lawn Mower Stolen—A Nancy Lane victim reported an air conditioner and lawn mower, a total value of $2,3000, missing from the residence.

Shoplifting—Kohl’s Department Store security detained a Festus man, 19, for stealing $84 in clothing at about 8:10 p.m. Police arrested the man, charged him and released him on a court summons.

Jan. 21

Drug Paraphernalia—Arnold police traveled to 1201 Drury Lane, the address for , and charged a Crestwood man, 31, with drug paraphernalia possession. Police said they received a tip about the drugs at about 3 p.m.

Stealing Cologne—Kohl’s store security detained an Imperial man, 22, for taking two bottles of cologne, worth about $92, at 6:45 p.m. Police released the man on a court summons.

Marijuana, Paraphernalia Possession—After a traffic stop near the intersection of Jeffco Boulevard and Missouri State Highway 141 at 12:35 p.m., Arnold police charged an Imperial man, 18 with marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession. Police also found an Arnold man, 20, in the vehicle, who was wanted on a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department warrant for minor in possession of alcohol.

Jan. 20

Driving While Influenced—After a traffic stop in the 700 block of Jeffco Boulevard at about 12:15 a.m., charged a TX man with driving while influenced. The man had a blood alcohol level of .199. Police released the man on a $350 bond.

Jan. 19

Fugitive, Driving on a Suspended License—After a traffic stop in the 2200 block of  Michigan Avenue at about 11:40 p.m., Arnold police arrested a 37-year-old Fenton man for driving on a suspended license. Police also learned the man was wanted on Jefferson County felony warrants. Police jailed the man until Jefferson County deputies could take him to county jail.

Jan. 18

Stolen License Plate—A Leolia Drive victim reported her trailer’s Missouri license plate, worth $20, missing.

Terroristic Threats—KTRS radio station employees called the Arnold Police Department about an Arnold resident making a threat against the City of Arnold during a radio talk show about 12:45 p.m. The man referenced the Kirkwood, MO shooting that occurred a few years ago. Arnold police arrested the 60-year-old man at his Harris Drive home, booked him and released him on a pending arrest warrant.

Marijuana Possession—During a traffic stop near the intersection of Interstate 55 and the Meramac River at about 7:30 p.m., Arnold police found a Belleville, IL man, 51 with marijuana. Police released the man on a court summons.

Jan. 17

Methamphetamine Possession, Making Meth—Arnold police traveled to 2121 Ridge Drive, at about 2:15 p.m., to investigate a caller-less 911 phone call. Police found and charged a Richmond Heights woman, 31, and a Fenton man, 37, with meth possession and for making meth. The Jefferson County Drug Task Force seized all evidence. Arnold police booked the suspects and released them on pending arrest warrants.

Jan. 16

Carpet Fans Stolen—A victim reported two carpet drying fans, worth about $400 total missing from his truck while it was parked at at 920 Arnold Commons at about 1:10 p.m. The words Madden Construction are on the fans.
