Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Releases Improved Smartphone App

The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office app is a free download and is available for both iPhone and Android users.

If you have the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office smartphone app on your mobile device, now is the time to update it because it's been enhanced.

"(Our) office has launched an upgrade to our smartphone app that allows the office to communicate much more effectively with the community," Sheriff Oliver “Glenn” Boyer said in a statement.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office app is a free download and is available for both iPhone and Android users.

If you currently have the app and decide to ignore getting the upgrade it may affect the information you receive as it is required for users to continue to receive Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office information.

Do you want to use it? Users simply search “MobilePatrol” and after downloading the Mobile Patrol app, select Missouri then Jefferson County.

Users of the app will have access to real-time detention center information with mug shots, charges and offender information, Boyer said. The app is fully integrated with VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday), which allows crime victims to be notified about the custody status of their offender.  The app also includes most-wanted criminals, news, the facility location, the sheriff’s office directory.

App user will be some of the first to know about Amber Alerts (including photos of missing persons), news about escapees and manhunts, weather warnings, and other local emergencies.
