Lavender Child's Sock Seized as Evidence in Imperial Burglary

Wednesday, Jan. 23

Six checks and $700 in cash were reported stolen from a home on Castlegate Drive in Imperial between Jan. 14 and Jan 23. Entry was gained through an unlocked window. Further investigation revealed that the suspect forged a check. The total of the thefts was $1,800. The suspect was arrested and warrants have been applied for accordingly.

About $30 in change was reported stolen between 6 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. at a home on E. Swaller Road in Imperial. Entry was gained through an unlocked front window. A lavender child's sock that did not belong to the homeowner was found in the residence. It was seized as evidence.

Miscellaneous jewelry, including an engraved sterling silver chain, and loose and rolled change was reported stolen from a home on Meadow View Road in Imperial. The suspect entered the home by manipulating a latch on the basement door. The items were valued at $2,500.
