Recent media coverage on a 20-year-old homicide case involving an Arnold business owner has produced some leads, but investigators still need your help.

Steven Weltig, 40, died April 23, 1993 from a single gunshot wound to the back of the head, said Maj. Nick McBroom, of the Arnold Police Department. He was found inside Ajax Liquor off Jeffco Boulevard, a business he had owned for eight years.

McBroom, who reopened the case 10 years ago, said Friday that he had received about four or five calls about the case and did two or three interviews last week.

"We got some new information," McBroom told Patch. "But whether it pans out or not remains to be seen. It was 20 years ago. We still need help from the public on this."
