Man Arrested for Headbutting Arnold Police Officer

An officer went to the man's parents' house to question him about a harassment complaint, police say. He became belligerent, resisted arrest and assaulted the officer.

A 28-year-old Arnold man was arrested Saturday for trespassing, resisting arrest and third-degree assault of an officer.

A woman had visited the police station telling officers the man had harassed her, said Maj. Nick McBroom. An officer went to the man's parents' house in the 400 block of Kathryn Dr. to question him about the complaint.

He became belligerent with everyone involved, and his parents asked him to leave, McBroom said. The man refused, physically resisted arrest and assaulted the arresting officer by headbutting him.

McBroom said the officer was OK, other than a minor cut on his forehead. Following booking, the man was placed in a cell pending the posting of bond.
