Robber Sticks Up Arnold Phillips 66 on Municipal Drive

Arnold police believe the man may be the same person that robbed a Subway two weeks ago, and need the public's help identifying the robber or the getaway car.

Arnold police are looking for a man that robbed the Arnold Phillips 66, located on Municipal Drive near Astra Way. The robbery happened  on June 20, around 9:25 a.m.

Assistant Chief of Police Maj. Nick McBroom said two employees and two customers were in the store when a man entered demanding cash.

Take a look at the picture. He described the man as wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gloves, a bandana across his face and sunglasses. Witnesses said the suspect is about 6 feet tall, and weighs between 220 and 250 pounds.

"We took a K-9 out there and it was able to track him to 141 northbound," he said. "We believe he had a car waiting."

This is where McBroom said the police department needs the public's help.
"What we would ask is that anyone that saw a car sitting out there for a ittle while or noticed anything suspicious to give us a call," he said.

McBroom said he believes this is the same man involved in a similar robbery at about 9:20 p.m., on June 11 at the Subway located at 1712 Missouri State Road.

"We had the Subway robbery two weeks ago, and it looks like the guy is awful similar in appearance," he said.

Anyone with information should contact the Arnold Police Department at (636) 296-3204.
