Man Taken Into Protective Custody After Hearing Voices

Friday, Jan. 11

A store clerk at 7-11 at 3695 West Outer Rd. told police that a teen left the gas station without paying for a 30 pack of Budweiser beer valued at $21.

  • A man reported that he left his sweatshirt containing his wallet in a booth at McDonald's at 2005 Richardson Rd. When he returned to retrieve the sweatshirt, it was gone.
  • A man was taken into protective custody at Phillips 66 at 2046 Key West Dr. after he told police he was hearing voices. Maj. Nick McBroom, of the Arnold Police Department, said the man told officers he had just been in an altercation with his girlfriend's mother and that he wasn't feeling good. McBroom said the man threatened to run out into traffic. He was transported to St. Anthony's Medical Center for a 96-hour evaluation.

Sunday, Jan. 13

  • A skateboard, valued at $175, was reported stolen from a truck bed toolbox at Arnold City Park.
  • Officers arrested a 37-year-old Arnold woman for stealing a pair of $80 boots from Kohl's at 2150 Michigan Ave. She was booked and later released on a summons.
