Police: Man, 73, Charged with Public Urination

The Arnold Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department provided the following information. None of it indicates a conviction or guilty plea.

June 21

Missing Truck Found—A man found his stolen 1998 GMC pickup on Sunny Ridge Drive at 8:43 a.m. and called police. The truck was reported missing from Brooklyn, Ill. The vehicle was released to the owner.

Stealing—The security staff at , at 2201 Michigan Ave., detained an Arnold woman, 33, who was accused of taking $31.55 worth of cosmetics. Police were called.

Missing License Plate—A victim reported a license plate missing from a vehicle at about 2:30 p.m. on Twin Oaks Drive. The event occurred sometime after May 31.

Juvenile Found—While searching for a missing dog on Old Lemay Ferry Road at about 2 p.m., police discovered a juvenile wanted for a felony absconding charge (failing to surrender to custody at the appointed time while on bail). Police arrested the boy took him to the Jefferson County Juvenile Detention Center.

Public Urination—A 73-year-old Arnold man was arrested for urinating in a parking lot at 548 Jeffco Boulevard at about 11:30 p.m.

Drug Possession—During a traffic stop on Hwy. 141 at Astraway Drive at about 12:30 a.m., a passenger fled on foot. One officer searched the vehicle and found narcotics, weapons and burglary tools. Other officers found the passenger who had fled, a 41-year-old Cedar Hill man, who was wanted on numerous warrants. The driver, a 34-year-old St. Louis woman, was charged with violating a narcotics probation warrant and driving on a suspended license. Another passenger, 42 of Arnold, also was arrested.

June 22

Stealing—Two suspects face charges of stealing from Walmart, 2201 Michigan Ave., at 4:44 p.m. The man, 24, and woman, 18, were both from Cadet. One of the two had previously been convicted of stealing from the store.

Driving While Influenced—Arnold police stopped a Chesterfield woman, 25, for a traffic violation near the intersection of Richardson Road and Richardson Square Drive at about 1 a.m. Tests said the woman had a blood alcohol content of 0.102 percent. Police charged the woman and later released her to a sober driver.

Driving While Influenced—Police stopped a Bonne Terre woman, 24, for a traffic violation at Hwy. 141 and Interstate 55 at about 1:30 a.m. Police learned there she was wanted on an existing DWI warrant and for a municipal code violation in Jennings.

June 23

Stealing Cigarettes—Police charged an Imperial man, 20, at about 6:30 a.m., with stealing a carton of cigarettes from , at 3611 West Outer Rd. Police booked and released the man on a court summons.

Suspicious Person—Police investigated a report of suspicious people near the intersection of Jeffco Boulevard and Ridgecrest Drive at 1:40 p.m. They arrested a 19-year-old Imperial man wanted on outstanding warrants. Police held the man until a bond payment was posted.

Stealing—Police charged a St. Louis woman, 42, with stealing from Walmart, at 2201 Michigan Ave., at about 3 p.m. Police released the woman on a court summons.

Stealing— A Hillsboro man and woman, each 20 years old, face stealing charges at at 2150 Michigan Ave.

Driving While Influenced—An Arnold man, 18, faces a DWI charge after a traffic stop near the intersection of Starling Airport Road and June Road at 1:45 a.m. Tests said the man had a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent. Police booked the man and later released him to a sober driver.

June 24

Concrete Blocks Missing—A Jeffco Contracting employee reported 40 concrete blocks valued at $131.20 missing from a truck bed on Ridgecrest Drive sometime after 11 a.m. on June 23.

License Plate, Tools Missing—A man reported about $350 in tools from a shed and a Missouri license plate missing from a trailer on Dornseif Drive at about 10:30 a.m. The tools were were last send after 8 p.m. on June 23.

Disturbing the Peace—Police charged an Arnold woman, 44, with disturbing the peace at Airglades Drive. She is accused of banging on residents’ doors, using profanity and stuffing trash on their doorsteps.

Driving on a Suspended License—After a traffic stop at 11:45 p.m. at Hwy. 141 and Interstate 55, a St. Louis man was found driving on a suspended license. Police learned the man had five prior occurrences of driving on a suspended license.

June 25

Air Conditioning Unit Missing— An air conditioning unit was reported missing from Summerwood Drive at 6:30 p.m., the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department reported. The unit was last seen on June 22 at 9:30 p.m. The report said the electrical and copper tubing connecting the unit to the home was cut. The estimated loss is $2,000.
