Police Need Help Finding A Man Believed to have Stolen Car at Circle K

The Arnold Police Department needs the public's help with identifying a man it says stole a car from the Circle K on Jeffco Boulevard.

The crime happened June 16. According to an Arnold Police Department crime report, a woman reported leaving her vehicle parked, unlocked and running in a parking spot in front of the Circle K on Jeffco Blvd. When she returned the car was gone.

Maj. Nick McBroom, Assistant Chief of the Arnold Police Department said a woman spotted a man getting into the car.

"The car was recovered in St. Louis City," McBroom said.

The gas station's survelience system was able to produce police a grainy photo of the man police feel certain is the car thief.

"We have the picture of the guy that stole the car after looking at video," he said. "We have no idea who he is."

McBroom said the man was hanging around at the gas station and had the opportunity.

"He turned around and sold the car to someone in the city," McBroom said. "The guys that bought it ended up getting in a police chase and the car was recovered."

Take a look at the picture. Do you recognize the man?

McBroom described him as having a bald head and with a big handlebar moustache. He was wearing a yellow shirt with jeans at the time the car was stolen. McBroom said due to the angle the camera was recording, it's hard to give an exact height; however, police believe the man may be between 6'0 and 6'2.
