Police Report: Grandmother Assaulted

The Arnold Police Department provided the following information. None of it indicates a conviction or guilty plea.

June 30 

Assault of Grandmother—At around 8:30 a.m., a Piper Drive woman called police to report that her grandson, 23 of Arnold, verbally abused her and pushed her onto her bed. Police found the man and conducted a traffic stop. Police arrested the man and held him for 12 hours.

Road Rage—At 8:30 a.m., a driver reported a road rage incident at Vogel Road and West Outer Road. An Imperial man, 31, threw a ceramic coffee cup, which stuck the victim’s car and caused $200 in damage. Officers requested the Imperial man travel to the Arnold Police

Stereo Plate Stolen—A Weedel Drive man reported missing the JVC face plate missing from his stereo and $4 in coins from his unlocked vehicles that were parked overnight.

Protective Custody— employees, at 3600 West Outer Rd., called police to report a highly intoxicated man at about 8 p.m. By the time officers arrived, the man had left the restaurant. Police found the man outside Target at 3849 Vogel Rd. The man staggered around and asked customers for help, police said. Since the man was unaware of his location and unable to provide a person to drive him home, he requested that police take him into protective custody. They later released him to a family member.

Driving While Influenced—Police stopped an O’Fallon man, 30, for driving while influenced at about midnight at the intersection of Jeffco Boulevard and Hwy. 141. He had a blood alcohol content of 0.102 percent. Police booked the man and later released him to a sober driver.

July 1

Shoplifting— employees, at 1215 Water Tower Place, called police to  a report of a shoplifter. They arrested a St. Louis woman, 28, who had three pairs of shoes valued at $224.12 total. During booking, police learned the woman was wanted on warrants from the St. Louis County Police Department and the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. After processing, Arnold Police held the woman for transport to the other police departments.
