Police: Weapon in Jefferson County Murder-Suicide Came from Arnold

Police said a woman in De Soto who fatally shot herself and three daughters bought the weapon in Arnold.

The weapon used in a murder-suicide case in Jefferson County was bought at the in Arnold, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

A woman fatally shot her three daughters and then herself with a shotgun at a house outside De Soto. The bodies were discovered about 12:30 a.m. Thursday.

The house belonged to her estranged ex-boyfriend, according to the Post.

Sheriff Oliver “Glenn” Boyer identified the woman as Lisa Cochran, 32. Her daughters were 11, 10 and 22 months.

Boyer said Cochran bought the 12-guage shotgun Aug. 29 from the Arnold Walmart and sent an email to family members before the incident with the subject line of, “goodbye.”
