Suspicious Activity, Cars Have Led to Drug-Related Charges

From April 4-10, Arnold police investigations of suspicious cars or activity in neighborhoods have led to drug related arrests.

The Arnold Police Department provided the following information. 

April 9

Stealing less than $500 — security, at 2201 Michigan Ave., detained two women, a 29-year-old form Ste. Genevieve and a 45-year-old from Festus, for allegedly stealing about $150 in merchandise from the store.

Stolen License Plates — Both license plates were stolen from a motor home while it was parked at 18 Circle Drive from March 29 to April 9.  Officers entered the missing plates into a database. 

Suspicious Activity — Police officers arrested a St. Louis man, 23, while investigating a suspicious vehicle at 2201 Michigan Ave., at 10 p.m. Officers learned the suspect was wanted for burglary in Bella Villa. At the scene, officers also detained an Arnold woman, 37, after learning she was wanted by Festus police. Officers released the suspects to other law enforcement agencies.

Drug Paraphernalia Possession, Obstruction — Officers investigating a suspicious vehicle in the 800 block of Jeffco Blvd., charged an Arnold woman, 21, with drug paraphernalia possession after she obstructed police officers at the scene. The woman was booked and released on a court summons.

Drug Possession — A 17-year-old boy and an 18-year old man, both Arnold residents, face charges of marijuana possession and drug paraphernalia possession after officers investigated a suspicious vehicle at Arnold City Park, along Bradley Beach Road, at about 11 p.m. Both suspects were released at the scene on court summonses.

April 8

Marijuana Possession — After investigating a wreck in the 3600 block of West Outer Road, police officers charged a Fenton woman with marijuana possession. Officers released the suspect at the scene on a court summons.

DWI — During a traffic stop at Route 141 and Interstate 55, officers charged a St. Louis man, 39, with driving while intoxicated at about 2 p.m. The man had a blood alcohol level of 0.163 percent. Officers later released the man to a sober driver.

Underage Drinking, DWI — Officers charged a St. Louis woman, 19, with underage drinking and driving while intoxicated after her tests revealed a blood alcohol level of 0.037 percent. Officers were investigating a complaint about an ATV in the yard of a home near the intersection of Lonedell Road and Twin Oaks Drive at about 4:40 a.m. During the investigation, officers learned the suspect driving the truck did not secure her load.

April 7

Vandalism — A victim reported damage to her Geo Prizm’s passenger door window while it was parked in the 700 block of Jeffco Blvd., between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Obstructing a police officer — Officers returned to 888 Arnold Commons and arrested an Arnold resident, 51, after she warned wanted suspects of police officers on the property on April 6.

April 5

Fraud — Police officers arrested an Arnold resident, 27, and a Collinsville, IL woman, 26, on fraud charges at 888 Arnold Commons Drive. The suspects were booked and held in lieu of bond or for transport to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department for transport to Illinois.

April 4

Theft, Drug Paraphernalia Possession — Police officers responded to a victim’s call in the 2200 block of Uhlinger Lane where she found a man stealing a camera from her vehicle. Police found the suspect and three other people, all from St. Louis city, at the Value Place hotel, at 888 Arnold Commons Drive. Police arrested the 21-year old man, booked and released him on a court summons. A 46-year-old woman and two men, ages 25 and 27, each face drug paraphernalia charges. Two suspects had warrants from University City and St. Louis County and were held for transfer.

DWI — An Arnold resident, 54, faces charges of driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 849 Jeffco Blvd., at about 11:40 p.m. The suspect had a blood alcohol level of 0.195 percent and was released on a court summons.
