Teens Report Man Touching Himself in Steak 'n Shake Parking Lot

Three 13-year-old girls recently reported seeing a man masturbating in the parking lot of the Arnold Steak 'n Shake at 115 Arnold Crossroads Center.

The teens told Arnold police that the man pulled up to them in a tan vehicle as they were walking home from school in mid-September. They said the man was smiling at them and masturbating.

Police investigated the case, but were unable to come up with any leads because the report of the incident was delayed by about two weeks, said Maj. Nick McBroom, a spokesman for the Arnold Police Department. The case has been inactivated pending new leads.

"At the time of the incident the teens ran inside one of the businesses, which was exactly what they were supposed to do," he said. "But we didn't get the report until after one of the girls later told a parent or someone at school about the incident."

McBroom said there have been similar incidents reported in the city, but not recently. If you are involved in a situation like this, McBroom said do not have any contact with the offender, get a license plate number and call police immediately.
