Woman Arrested for Stealing 5 Pairs of Shoes, Bag of Socks

The following information was supplied by the Arnold Police Department for the period ending March 3. Arrests or charges mentioned in this report do not indicate convictions.

Tuesday, Feb. 26

  • An 18-year-old Arnold man was arrested for stealing $70 in car stereo equipment from Walmart at 2201 Michigan. He was released on a summons.
  • Officers took two juveniles into custody for stealing $20 in merchandise from Walmart. One teen was released to his parents. The other was taken to juvenile authorities.

Thursday, Feb. 28

  • A man reported that someone had taken a laptop computer some time in October while his vehicle was parked in a lot on Saxon Drive. 
  • A 27 year-old Pevely woman was arrested for shoplifting from Kohl's at 2150 Michigan Ave. She was issued a summons and released at the scene.

  • A woman told police that she and her daughter had left left an I-Pad touch valued at $250 in a dressing room while at the Salvation Army Thrift Store at 2110 Tenbrook Rd. When they returned later, it was missing.
  • A 37-year-old man and a 34-year-old man - both from Arnold - were arrested for stealing $384 in clothes from Kohl's. They were booked and released on summonses.
  • A man reported that someone removed the front license plate from his vehicle when he was parked on Mel Drive between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Sunday, March 3

  • A 46-year-old Barnhart woman was arrested for stealing five pairs of shoes and a pack of socks from Famous Footwear at 1215 Water Tower Place. The items were valued at $185. She was booked and released on a summons.
  • A 46-year-old Arnold man was arrested for driving while suspended and having an outstanding warrant after he was stopped for a traffic violation at 2005 Richardson Rd. Following booking, he was released on a summons and bond.
