Woman Found Dead in Imperial Identified

The victim has been identified as 34-year-old Heather Renee Beckley, of Pevely, according to Fox 2.

The 34-year-old woman found dead in Imperial on Sunday has been identified as Heather Renee Beckley, of Pevely, according to FOX 2.

On Sunday, Capt. Mark Tulgetske with the Major Case Squad told Patch the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department received a call around 8:30 a.m. about a person who was possibly intoxicated laying in the woods near Butler Valley Drive. He said when deputies arrived, they determined the woman was dead.

On Monday, Tulgetske told Patch the woman was from Jefferson County, but he said that police were awaiting preliminary autopsy results to make a positive identification.

Major Case Squad investigators told Fox 2 late Monday that Beckley suffered severe head trauma, and that they are following multiple leads in the case.
