Arnold City Clerk Celebrates 11th Anniversary with the City

Mayor Ron Counts recognized Diane Waller's dedication to Arnold and her successful effort to earn a certification as a Missouri Registered City Clerk.

Arnold City Clerk Diane Waller received a standing ovation from all the Arnold City councilmen as Mayor Ron Counts issued a proclamation recognizing Waller's 11 years of service to the .

The proclamation also recognized Waller's certification as a Missouri Registered City Clerk as recognized by the State of Missouri's City Clerks and Financial Officers throught the Missouri State University Management Development Institute.

"I've worked with her for three years now and I think she does a very difficult job and a wonderful job," Counts said during the City Council meeting at City Hall on Jan. 5 at 2101 Jeffco Blvd.

After receiving a standing ovation from the city councilmen and from about 20 residents attending the meeting, Waller looked at the proclamation and said, "Thank you and this means a lot to me."

Somone jokingly asked Waller to end the city council meeting after recieving her award. She said it would be nice if the first meeting of 2012 was a short meeting since the last meeting of 2011 was about 90 minutes in length.

The city council members ended the meeting in about 45 mintues after listening to public comments, approving two payroll warrants, a general warrant, a resolution and hearing adminsitrative reports from Arnold city staffers.
