Arnold City Park Closed This Weekend

Heavy rains and the Meramec River overrunning its bank caused the closure.

Heavy rains over the past week and the rising level of the Meramec River caused Arnold's city leaders to close Arnold City Park for this Saturday and Sunday.

The information was posted on the city's Facebook page and tweeted on its Twitter account at about 2 p.m. this afternoon.

The Meramec River, which borders the park and the city's north boundary, has a water level of about 34-feet, according to the National Weather Service. The river floods at 24-feet.
