Arnold Zoning Commission OKs Retailer's Building Plans

The California-based retailer, and tenant, plans to begin construction in August, says property owner.

Arnold's Planning and Zoning Commission voted, 8-0, to recommend the 25,000 square foot building, at Arnold Commons, for clothing retailer Ross Dress for Less.

Ross is owned by Ross Stores, a NASDAQ listed company, based in Pleasanton, California. The company had revenues of $8.6 billion in 2011 by selling clothes in about 1,000 stores in 29 states, the company website said.

Mark Simpson, with THF Realty the property owner of Arnold Commons, said Ross plans to begin construction in August and hopes to open in Spring 2013.

The Arnold City Council must vote to approve the construction plans prior to Ross beginning construction.

The next City Council meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. on July 19 at , 2101 Jeffco Blvd.
