Candidate Filing for April Election in Arnold Begins Tuesday

The Arnold mayoral position and a council seat in each of the city's four wards will be on the April 2 ballot. Two seats on the Fox School District's Board of Education are also up for grabs.

Looking to make a difference in your community? Several elected positions are open for seats on the Arnold City Council and the Fox School District's Board of Education.

Candidate filing begins at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11 and ends at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 15.

In Arnold, the mayoral position and one seat in each of the city's four wards will be on the April 2 ballot. So far, Mayor Ron Counts and Ward 1 Councilwoman Doris Borgelt have announced their intent to run for the four-year mayor's term.

The two-year term council seats on the ballot will include: Ward 1- Doris Borgelt; Ward 2 - Bill Moritz; Ward 3 - Phil Amato; and Ward 4 - Sandra Kownacki.

In the Fox School District, voters will decide on two three-year board seats. Those positions are currently occupied by Ruth Ann Newman and Pete Nichols.
