City Council Reschedules Meeting to March 24

The council's second monthly meeting was scheduled for March 17, St. Patrick's Day.

Arnold City Council members voted to change the date of their council meeting to March 24.

City council meetings occur on the first and third Thursday of each month. The council’s first meeting this month occurred on March 3.  The second meeting was scheduled for March 17, which is also St. Patrick’s Day.

“It’s not an official holiday, but one in which everyone participates,” Ward 1 Councilman Randy Crisler said during the March 3 meeting.

All council members can attend the meeting if it was rescheduled, Crisler said.

Crisler said he had to work on March 17 and said many other members would be out of town.

Arnold ordinance requires council members to vote on rescheduling public meetings. Members approved the change in an 7-0 vote. Ward 4 Councilman Ken Moss was absent from the meeting.

Council work sessions, during which members discuss possible solutions to issues affecting residents, occur the second Thursday of each month. The council work session, which is also a public meeting that occurs at City Hall, 2101 Jeffco Blvd., occurred on March 10.
