City Cuts Funding to Arnold Chamber of Commerce

Facing an $800,000 budget shortfall, the City of Arnold already cut two police department jobs and withheld 1 percent raises balance the budget, the treasurer said.

The City of Arnold will propose to cut $5,000 in funding for the Arnold Chamber of Commerce in the next fiscal budget.

During the City Council work session at City Hall, at 2101 Jeffco Blvd., on Aug. 11, Treasurer Dan Kroupa said cuts were needed to balance Arnold’s fiscal budget.

Arnold needed to find about $815,000 in savings or cuts to fund the 2011-12 fiscal budget year, Kroupa said.
