Economic Development Open House, Rx Drug Collection This Week

No City Council meeting this week but two major events to help residents scheduled for the week of Oct. 24.

City of Arnold meetings Scheduled for the week beginning Sept. 12.

Open House: Economic Development Comprehensive Plan — at , 2101 Jeffco Blvd., on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. The event allows everyone to learn Arnold residents' preferences for economic development in the next 20 years. During the last meeting, many residents said they wanted Arnold to have a downtown area created on north Jeffco Boulevard and bike trails throughout the city.

Planning and Zoning Commission — at City Hall on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Commissioners will consider the Arnold Animal Hospital's request for a new parking lot behind hospital's north Jeffco Boulevard building location.

Prescription Drug Destruction — at City Hall on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2. p.m. The Federal Drug Enforcement Agency working with the City of Arnold will collect controlled, non-controlled, and over-the-counter substances at City Hall. People may dispose of medications anonymously.
