I did not know Ms. Lang. But I clearly recall observing how viciously she was attacked by opponents. The attacks were often personal, which I found to be completely unacceptable. I figured she must have been doing something brilliant to have so many people complaining. Since her passing, I have learned that she was not only a local official, serving as councilwoman, but a mom and wife. I hope those who were so misbehaved have also learned something, and choose more civilized forms of debate going forward. Ms. Lang was too young to go and I join with many others who send prayers and well wishes to her family.
