I-270 Southbound Lanes Closed Between I-44 and Gravois Road This Weekend

The eastbound Intestate 44 exit ramp to southbound Interstate 270 is also closed until Monday.

Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) contractors will close two southbound lanes on Interstate 270, between Interstate 44 and Gravois Road, at 8 p.m. Friday.

Crews will re-stripe the lanes and shift the traffic to the left side of the highway, MoDOT said in a news release.Β The work zone speed limit will be 45 mph.

Crews will also close the eastbound I-44 exit ramp to southbound I-270 this weekend. The ramps from southbound I-270 to I-44 will remain open.Β

The closures allow crews to prepare, weather permitting, for two months of bridgework between I-44 and Gravois Road along I-270.

Drivers should use Highway 141 as a detour to southbound I-270 this weekend, MoDOT said in the release. And drivers should travel along Lindbergh Road to Gravois Road as an alternative to the I-44 exit ramp.
