Jefferson County Election Results: Fox C-6 Bond Issue Passes, Reuter Wins Reelection Nomination

Final, unofficial returns from Tuesday's primary elections.

U.S. Rep. Todd Akin carried Jefferson County in Tuesday's Republican primary, garnering 38 percent of the vote in his statewide bid to be the Republican nominee in the U.S. Senate race.

Dave Spence finished first in Jefferson County in the four-man race for the Republican nomination for Missouri governor. The GOP nominee will face Gov. Jay Nixon in the November general election.

Constitutional Amendment No. 2, the so-called "right to pray" amendment that was passing statewide, commanded an 85-15 percent margin in Jefferson County.

In other Jefferson County results, the Fox C-6 School District was successful in its bid to pass a bond issue, getting 67.55 percent of the vote to achieve an easy victory.

Republican Jefferson County Council Member Renee Reuter wace Democratic challenger on the opportunity to face off against Chsaryle Hermann, who was unopposed in the Democratic portion of Tuesday's primary.

Fox C-6 School District Bond Issue

Shall Consolidated School District No. 6 of Jefferson County, Missouri, incur
indebtedness and issue its general obligation bonds in the amount of $18,500,000 for the purpose of acquiring technology including equipment; repairing, renovating and improving existing school facilities and furnishing and equipping the same; purchasing school buses and converting the existing athletic facilities into multipurpose facilities?

If this proposition is approved, the adjusted debt service levy of the District is
estimated to remain unchanged at $0.3300 per one hundred dollars of assessed
valuation of real and personal property.
