Mayor Appoints Citizens to Two Boards

Council approves appointments to boards of Adjustment and Appeals.

Arnold Mayor Ron Counts appointed Michael W. Evans to the Board
of Appeals and Jason Doyle Fulbright to the Board of Adjustment. 

The appointments were approved by the city council by a vote of 6-0.  Ward 1 Councilwoman Doris Borgelt and Ward 3 Councilman Paul Freese were absent from the meeting.

All appointments to city boards and commissions are made by the mayor with the consent of the city council.

The Board of Appeals resolves cases of residential and commercial parties who disagree with the City’s Building Code.

The Board of Adjustment hears zoning appeals and decides if variances from the zoning code are warranted.

Both boards meet on an as-needed basis.

In other council business, Arnold Parks and Recreation Director Susie Boone announced the purchase of an $8,450 Eagle single rider golf cart for Pomme Creek Golf Course.

Boone said the cart meets all Americans with Disabilities Act requirements and is equipped with a 360-degree swivel chair, with brakes and accelerator on the steering column.

City council members previously authorized the purchase at the June 2 council meeting.
