MoDOT to Begin Bridge Repairs This Week

MoDOT to resurface I-170 ramps on Monday, Tuesday

MoDOT contractors will resurface the northbound ramps between Brentwood Boulevard and Interstate 170 between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday.

Inclement weather will delay the project to the next weekdays without a forecast of rain, MoDOT said in a news release.

Highway P to close on Thursday

A section of Highway P between Josephville and Wortman roads, in St. Charles County, will close on Thursday to allow crews to replace a drain pipe under the roadway. The work will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Drivers should use Josephville and Wortman roads as a detour to Highway P, MoDOT said in a news release.

Hwy. 109 Bridge, over Hwy 100, also to Close on Thursday

MoDOT will close lanes on the Hwy. 109 bridge, over Hwy. 100, nightly from Tuesday until May 10, weather permitting.

Crews will close lanes at 8 p.m. to repair and resurface the bridge deck. The lanes will reopen at 5 a.m. the following day. Flaggers and temporary traffic lights will provide detour directions to drivers.

All ramps between Hwy. 100 and Hwy. 109 will remain open.

Delmar Bridge over I-170 to close Friday.

MoDOT will close the Delmar Bridge over I-170 at 7 p.m. on Friday. The bridge will reopen at 5 a.m. on May 2. Crews will work around the clock and will create noise late at night.

Ramps to and from northbound I-170 will be closed. Ramps to and from southbound I-170 will remain open only to access the western portions of Delmar Boulevard.

Price and Hanley roads will be the detour around the closure. Crews will create a foundation for a replacement bridge to be built later this year.

Because the work is near electrical lines, the power must be re-routed and cannot be done during the high temperature summer months.

Area residents should not lose power during the project, MoDOT said.

The Delmar bridge will close on May 31 after Memorial Day and will reopen by Sept. 1, MoDOT said. Crews will also close I-170 at Delmar on June 3-6 to remove the bridge. More details on these closures will be released when they become available.
