MoDOT to Stop Construction at Noon Today for Labor Day Weekend

MoDOT expects a high number of drivers for the holiday weekend and wants repair crews off construction sites.

Missouri Department of Transportation crews will stop road work at noon today, to allow for the high number of holiday travelers expected during the Labor Day Holiday.

Work will resume at 9 a.m. Tuesday, MoDOT said in a news release.

Drivers should remember the following closures in the St. Louis area:

  • Interstate 55 in St. Louis City, Holly Hills across I-55 is closed for bridge replacement.
  • Grand Boulevard in St. Louis City is closed from Interstate-64 to Chouteau by St. Louis City until mid 2012.
  • Interstate-270 in St. Louis County, westbound Route 364 exit to northbound I-270 is closed until mid-September.
