New Arnold Council to be Sworn-in During Work Session

Newly elected Ward 2 Councilman Michelle Hohmeier and re-elected Treasurer Dan Kroupa and councilmen Paul Freese, Christine Lang and Ken Moss will be sworn-in Thursday evening.

Prior to the the Arnold City Council work session at , at 2101 Jeffco Blvd., the winners of the April 3 elections will be sworn-in at 6:30 p.m.

The candidates elected are Treasurer Dan Kroupa, Ward 1 Councilman Christine "Cricky" Lang, Ward 2 Councilman Michelle Hohmeier, Ward 3 Councilman Paul Freese and Ward 4 Councilman Ken Moss.

Council work sessions occur the second Thursday of each month and allow them to publicly consider information that could be used to draft new Arnold ordinances. Councilmen do not vote during work sessions.

After the ceremony Arnold Police Chief Robert Shockey will brief the council, at 7 p.m., on two Arnold issues: public indecency and people failing to pay for gasoline at Arnold gas pumps.

No further information was available from the meeting agenda posted on the Arnold City Hall website.

Shockey will likely have information about the frequentcy and location of indecent acts in Arnold. And he will likely have information about the money lost caused by people stealing gas from Arnold businesses.

The council will likely consider drafting new ordinances, to stop the crimes, for a vote in furture city council meetings.
