The City of Arnold unveiled its 9/11 Memorial Garden, at the at 1695 Missouri State Road, on Sunday.

Teuscher said he designed the memorial so people could understand and remember the events of Sept. 11, 2001 and its effect on American's lives.

The structure resembles New York City's World Trade Center's Twin Towers and also highlights the twisted metal artifact from the buildings when they were destroyed 10 years ago, Teuscher said.

Benches and plants around the memorial create a quiet setting so people can reflect on the events and impact of 9/11, Teuscher said.

The memorial will also serve as a teaching tool to children and future generations, Teuscher said.
