Third Possible Congressional Candidate

Randy Jotte would join Ann Wagner and Ed Martin in the race for the Republican nomination in Missouri's second congressional district.

The field of Republican candidates in the race for Missouri's newly-redrawn second congressional district may be set to grow.

Randy Jotte, a one time Webster Groves City Council member who most recently ran unsuccessfully for spots in the Missouri General Assembly and St. Louis County Council, has launched a website and other campaign apparatus to consider a bid for Congress. The news was first reported Monday by PoliticMo and the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Jotte's website says he is a 1978 graduate of , and is currently an ER doctor at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

Former RNC Co-Chair Ann Wagner and Attorney Ed Martin are already in the race to succeed U.S. Represenative Todd Akin. Akin is running for the U.S. Senate.

PoliticMO reports Jotte plans to attend an upcoming candidate forum featuring Wagner and Martin before deciding on entering the contest.
