U2 Fans Must Use I-55, I-70 to Get to Sunday's Concert

Reminder, I-44 to I-270 will be closed this weekend for bridgework.

Missouri Department of Transportation crews will close all eastbound Interstate 64 lanes from Jefferson Street to Poplar Street on Friday at 8 p.m. The highway will reopen on at Sunday 5 p.m.

Fans attending Sunday’s U2 concert should use Interstate 55 or Interstate 70 as the detour, MoDOT said in a news release.

Crews will close two eastbound and westbound lanes on the Poplar Street bridge will be closed during the weekend.

And certain lanes of eastbound and westbound Interstate 44, at Jamieson Avenue, will close Friday at 7 p.m. and re-open on Monday at 5 a.m.

Crews will be begin to remove and replace the Jamieson bridge's surface.

I-270, I-44 Closed in South County, Hwy. 141 is the Detour

Other MoDOT crews will close the eastbound I-44 exit ramp to southbound I-270 on Friday at 9 p.m. and re-open it on Monday at 5 a.m.

Crews will make repairs on two bridges on southbound I-270 between I-44 and Gravois Road.

Motorists can use Rte. 141 as an alternate route this weekend.

Crews will close the southbound I-270 ramp to eastbound I-44 on from Saturday at 9 p.m. to Sunday at 6 a.m.

Two lanes on southbound I-270 will be closed this weekend at 8 p.m. Friday until Monday at 10 a.m.

Traffic on southbound I-270 will split into three left lanes and one right lane on Monday. Reduced speed limits and narrow lane widths will exist in the work zone.
