Free Orientation to Navigating the Online World

Jefferson County Library offers a free computer literacy class for people completely new to the world of computers. The class is in three parts, from 9:30 to noon on May 6, 13 and 20. You must be able to attend all three classes to enroll.

Students will learn essential mouse and keyboard functions the first week, then move on to internet searching skills and safety tips. The final class will cover how to use the library catalog and website effectively.

Registration is required, and priority given first to library district residents, then to non-resident card holders. Class size is limited to 10 students. Non-resident non-cardholders will be placed on a waiting list and notified if a space becomes available.
