Patch asked Coach Brent Tinker what he thought about his team after tonight’s game:

I don’t think we necessarily have any one star. Obviously when you look at the stat books, Brewer had a good night receiving, Huskey had a good night running and the defense on the whole played pretty well. As far as an individual star, the numbers are going to make it look like Huskey and Brewer are our best. And they are our very best kids—I think they’re as good as anybody in the area.

Greg Abeyta is lights out on defense. Mitch Morris, a sophomore, stepped in and played great for us. Eric Mitchell stepped in as receiver and did really well. Its cliché, but a lot of kids did a lot of things right, and at the same a whole lotta kids did a lot of things wrong. And we’re going to fix that. We love these boys to death, so we’re going to fix that.
