Fox, Seckman to Battle in Football Districts Thursday

The teams will face off in a do-or-die game. The winners' postseason hopes will stay alive while the losing team's season ends.

It's been nearly two months since rivals Fox (4-5) and Seckman (2-7) faced off in a football game. The two teams will play again, but with a lot more at stake this time around.

Postseason play will begin on Thursday for the two teams as they fight to keep their seasons alive. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. at Fox High School (751 Jeffco Blvd.)

The winner is scheduled to play Rockwood Summit next Wednesday in the second round of postseason play. The losing team's season will end.

The full schedule for Class 5, District 1 is available on the Missouri State High School Activities Association website.

Fox is the no. 3 seed in the district. Seckman is the no. 6 seed.

The Leader has just reported that a moment of silence is scheduled before kickoff in remembrance of Jacob Siebert, a Seckman freshman who died on Wednesday morning. Here's the report: http://myleaderpaper.com/pages/?p=14884
