How Seckman's Bench Helped the Jaguars Beat Northwest in Baseball

Bench players for Seckman helped squash a late rally from Northwest, but they were able to do it off of the field, the St. Louis-Post Dispatch reports.

Brad Hagedorn, coach of the Seckman Jaguars baseball team, is crediting his bench players in a big win over Northwest on Tuesday.

As Northwest fought to erase a deficit in the sixth inning, Seckman's bench players assisted centerfielder Thomas Estopare in a key moment, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

After catching a line drive, Estopare fired a throw to third base to pick off a Northwest player that left the bag too early, the newspaper reports. The bench had been shouting for Estopare to pick the runner off.
