Memorial Fund Set Up For Seckman Football, Lacrosse Player

Freshman Jacob Siebert died unexpectedly early Wednesday. There will be a moment of silence in his honor at tonight's district playoff football game between Fox and Seckman.

A memorial fund has been set up for Jacob Siebert, who died unexpectedly early Wednesday.

The 14 year old was a freshman football and lacrosse player at Seckman High School in Imperial. A cause of death has not been determined.

There will be a moment of silence honoring Jacob before tonight's district playoff football game between Fox and Seckman. The game begins at 7 p.m. at Fox High School.

Jacob was the son of Thomas and Tracy Siebert of Antonia. Thomas Siebert is a captain with the Rock Community Fire Protection District.

Ron Harder, a fire district spokesperson, said everyone in the district was deeply saddened by Jacob's death.

"We're all grieving with the family," he said. "We're embracing each other and Tom. When one of us hurts in the Rock Community, we all hurt."

To donate to the memorial fund, you can write a check out to "Seckman Lacrosse Team" and either mail it or drop it off at Heartland Bank in Arnold. The address is 1920 Richardson Road.
