Seckman's Thomas Scores Four But Jaguars Fall in Heartbreaker to U City

It was a high scoring game between the Lions and Jaguars on Friday night.

The Seckman Jaguars (1-4) lost to the University City Lions (3-2) 45-35 in a heartbreaker on Friday night.

U City drew first blood when Jabriee Mason rushed 50 yards to score the evening’s first touchdown. The Seckman Jaguars evened up the score eight minutes later when Sean Thomas scored for the home team.

The Lion’s running back David Carmichael brought in five more touchdowns for his team.

Seckman running back Thomas saw almost as much action, bringing in four of the Jaguar’s five touchdowns. Cody Tolliver also scored in the third quarter with a 46-yard pass from quarterback Devon McCoy.

Seckman head coach Jamie Critchlow shared his thoughts after the game:

Cody Tolliver played a pretty solid ballgame. Doug Arnold played pretty solid at corner back. Clayton Wyland and the offensive line played well up front. And Devon McCoy I thought played a pretty solid game. Until you watch the film it’s hard to really see who had a better or worse game than what you can remember.

We got a few good plays out of several of the kids. If we just eliminated some big plays given up on special teams and defense, then make a few better decisions on offensive and throwing the ball, then the outcome could have been more what we wanted.
