Snow Day, No Fox C-6 School District Classes

Between one to three inches of snow fell overnight making the commute to school treacherous.

There are no classes for students the in for Thursday, Jan. 12, due to snow.

The announcement was posted on the school district's website.

The Fox Schools schools policy closes all schools if the accumulated snow makes the commute to one Fox district school treacherous.

Overnight between one to three inches of snow fell in the St. Louis area, says the National Weather Service webpage. And another inch of snow is forecasted to fall in the region today.

The daytime high temperature is forecast to be 27 degrees. Tonight's low temperature is expected to be 14 degrees.

The snow is unlikely to melt on Friday because the high temperature is expected at 26 degrees.

Saturday will be the first day of a warming trend with a daytime high temperature of 39 degrees. By Monday, Martin Luther King day, the high temperature is expected to be about 50 degrees.
